The Health Professions Admission Test (HPAT-Ulster) is a professionally designed and marked selection test developed to assess aptitude for study in the Allied Health Professions.

The test is used in the selection process by the University of Ulster for entry into the following courses:

• BSc Hons Dietetics
• BSc Hons Occupational Therapy
• BSc Hons Physiotherapy
• BSc Hons Podiatry
• BSc Hons Radiography (Diagnostic)
• BSc Hons Radiography (Therapeutic)
• BSc Hons Speech & Language Therapy

The 2012 sitting of the test will be held on Saturday 28 January 2012.  There is only one sitting each year.

HPAT-Ulster is available to any candidate whose educational level at the time of sitting the test is final year of secondary schooling or higher;

Universities are increasingly moving to select students on the basis of a wider set of objective criteria rather than academic results alone.

HPAT-Ulster consists of three sections, with a total test time of 3 hours.
